Phd Project: Modelling the potential impacts of climate change on vegetation patterns on the Bogong High Plains

This project will emply field observations, meta-data analyses and simulation modelling to study the impact of global warming on alpine vegetation. Grassland, heathland and wetland plant communities in the higher subalpine and alpine zone will be examined.

There will be a particular emphasis on bog communities, an idnex of bog condition will be developed to aid in the assessment of the state of bogs on the Bogong High Plains.
