CLEAR: Climate and Environment in Alpine Regions
CLEAR is conceived as a coherent, trans-disciplinary study of issues that pertain directly to climate-related change in the Alpine region. CLEAR spans the interfaces within the research area consisting of physical, ecological, and social science. CLEAR incorporates 15 sub-projects focusing on disciplinary research and on the trans-disciplinary task of integrated assessment. It is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation.

EURAC: alpine environment  
This project aims at developing a scientific basis for the improvement of the legal instruments of the EU taking more intensely into consideration environmental features in agriculture in the Alpine region and other European mountain areas.  The site is available in English, German and Italian.

PRIMALP: Sustainable Primary Production in the Alpine Region
The project has two main objectives: firstly, identification and development of sustainable agricultural and forestry production systems for the Alpine region ('best practices' projects); secondly, dDevelopment of tools and models for the analysis and evaluation of infrastructure requirements and policy decision-making ('best policies' projects).
